‘Getting the Right People’
Limerick Chamber are set to host a HR Event that will focus on all aspects of advertising, hiring, interviewing and placing the right employee in your company. The event will be an overall HR workshop and those who attend are set to be in for a learning experience, the event will be hosted by Maria Gilsenan of Melior Management and Maurice Carr of BDO, both well-established within their industry. The event will be held in the Limerick Chamber Boardroom and will be a morning workshop start time 7:30m finishing 9:15am. Bookings will be accepted for this event in the coming weeks Members will have free entry with the option to invite one guest for free, a fee of €20 will be applicable to all non-members. The numbers at this event will be limited, requests to attend will be on a first come first serve basis. Maurice Carr:
Maurice is a Partner in BDO and is the national head of the Executive Search and Recruitment for BDO. He has over 25 years’ experience as an executive recruiter in management and technical areas covering indigenous and multi-national organisations. Maurice was educated here in Limerick in St Munchin’s College, is an honours graduate of University College Cork where he majored in Commerce, and a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, having trained with KPMG and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Maurice is currently a board member of the UL Hospitals Group and was a member of the Limerick Boundary Committee which was headed of by Denis Brosnan.
Maria Gilsenan:
With 30 years’ experience working in Human Resources, consulting since 1999, Maria is widely experienced in dealing with HR issues across a large variety of organisations and sectors. Maria and her team at Melior Management assist clients by providing a full range of HR Support which often includes supporting and managing recruitment. Maria is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel & Development (FCIPD), and a Member of the Irish Institute of Training & Development (MIITD). She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Limerick, having graduated in 1986 from Dublin City University (then NIHED) with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies (BBS). She also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management Information Systems from the IMI and a Certificate in Training & Continuing Education from NUI Maynooth.
