Kemmy Business School/Limerick Chamber MBA scholarship to strengthen professional and business advancement

Limerick Chamber and the Kemmy Business School have joined ranks with a scholarship programme that will strengthen professional development and business prospects.

Dr. James Ring, Limerick Chamber & Philip O’Regan, Kemmy Business School, UL.

For the third year running, Limerick Chamber and Kemmy Business School have announced three scholarships for the corporate MBA programme in UL, worth €27,000 over the two year programme across the three scholarships.

Each year three people from Member companies of Limerick Chamber are given one-third of the MBA fees, worth over €9,000 per person towards the overall cost of the two year programme.

The MBA is an internationally recognised business qualification and the KBS programme has a long and successful track record.

Dr. James Ring, who completed the two-year MBA programme himself in 2015, said: “The MBA is a game changer. It helps you develop a new way of thinking. It highlights all the critical pieces of the machine that need to work in order to make a business, or indeed yourself, much more successful. Coming from a technical background rather than business, it gave me the tools I needed to operate in the business world.”

Dr. Philip O Regan said: “UL has put more than three decades of experience into developing an MBA programme that provides a unique opportunity to increase participants’ skillsets, helping you to embrace new challenges and evaluate and respond to the impact of cultural, social, economic and political factors on the business environment.

“As you progress through the programme, you’ll acquire the latest business thinking and develop the confidence required for senior positions as well as gaining new perspectives and insights by working closely with peers from a diverse range of industries. You’ll also form relationships with these leaders, relationships that develop into your lifelong peer network.”

Dr. Ring concluded:  “We are delighted to partner with the KBS for the 3rd time and offer this fantastic opportunity that will be a game-changer for three or more people’s careers. The entry criteria is simple; if you are a member of the Chamber, email a 400 word summary as to why you believe you should receive a scholarship.

“An MBA isn’t easy, you need time and discipline, but you will never regret it once you are over the finish line.  I wish all applicants the best of luck.”
