Limerick Chamber Chief Executive to Move On

Maria Kelly, CEO of Limerick Chamber, has announced her resignation after almost 10 years at the helm.  She will step down from the role at the end of September to commence a PhD in University of Limerick.

Cathal Treacy, President of Limerick Chamber, commended Maria’s outstanding service to Limerick Chamber as CEO of the organisation since 2005 saying, “Maria has been an invaluable leader for the Chamber and Limerick.  Her ability to advocate for business, build partnerships and drive the organisation forward serves as a model for those who follow.  Limerick Chamber will build upon the progress under Maria’s tenure while continuing in its mission to create the best environment for business to succeed.  Maria will be greatly missed and we wish her success in all of her future endeavours.”

Reflecting on her time with Limerick Chamber, Maria Kelly said, “It has been an honour to serve the business community in this role and I am grateful for the opportunity to develop working relationships and friendships that will last a lifetime.  While I have enjoyed leading the Chamber and publicly representing the business community, it is now time for me to move on to other opportunities. With a three-year strategic plan in place, an engaged membership and terrific staff, I’m confident that Limerick Chamber will continue to have a positive impact and will cultivate a better business environment.”

Limerick Chamber Board has formed a Selection Committee and the search has begun for a new Chief Executive.
