Limerick Chamber MBA Scholarship Competition

Limerick Chamber and KBS University of Limerick are offering three highly coveted scholarships

22 June 2015:  Limerick Chamber, in association with Kemmy Business School (KBS) at the University of Limerick, is offering three candidates from Limerick Chamber member companies the chance to win a scholarship to the part-time Corporate MBA programme at KBS starting in September 2015.

Limerick Chamber is looking for applications from high-calibre, experienced professional people with the ambition and energy to become business leaders.  A panel of judges will evaluate submissions and award the scholarships which cover 30% of tuition fees (€9,000) to the applicants who best display entrepreneurial and leadership qualities.

Launching the competition, Dr James Ring, Limerick Chamber CEO said, “Having experienced the KBS Executive MBA programme first-hand, I am delighted to announce this competition.   These scholarships offer a great opportunity for experienced professionals to find their true potential and to challenge themselves with like-minded leaders wanting to be at the top of their game.”

Dr Philip O’Regan, Dean at KBS, said, “Limerick Chamber has a very similar goal to us in wanting to help local managers to improve opportunities for their businesses to be successful and so it’s a natural alliance.  The purpose of our MBA programme is to enhance a person’s skills, open their mind, challenge their thinking and broaden their perspectives so that they can achieve their full potential; personally and professionally, so that in turn they can help businesses and organisations grow.”

The UL Executive MBA is a part-time, two year programme. The programme is delivered in three-day, intensive, on campus blocks, with four blocks per semester and two semesters each year. The programme focuses on five themes: Internationalisation, Managerial Vision and Competencies, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Strategic Thinking and Leadership.
