Limerick Chamber to Host National Business Strategy Conference

LEADING US ECONOMIST CONFIRMED FOR IRELAND’S BUSINESS STRATEGY CONFERENCE

 

4 January 2016: Ireland’s inaugural Business Strategy Conference will take place on Thursday 28 January 2016 in Limerick with the keynote address from a leading US economist.

Carl Tannenbaum, Chief Economist of Northern Trust and former Vice President of Federal Reserve, will deliver the keynote address entitled ‘Searching for the New Normal: Europe’s Attempts to Sustain Economic Growth and Cooperation’.

He will be joined by some leading lights from Ireland’s business, policy and economic world, including; Professor John McHale of the Irish Fiscal Advisory Board, Hugh O’Donnell, Chairman of MACX3 Investments, Kieran Harte from Uber,  FAI CEO John Delaney, Virgin Media’s newly appointed CEO Tony Hanway and many more leading experts.

Matt Cooper, a well-known Irish broadcaster, newspaper columnist and best-selling author, will be the MC and Facilitator for the day-long event.

“Managing Assets – Fuelling Business Growth” is the overall theme for this one of a kind business conference with four key sections addressing sources of future growth, internationalisation, balanced regional development as well as how businesses can lead and adapt to change.

A panel of experts will share their insights and expertise on how to ; scale a business to international success, prepare against future economic storms, achieve balanced regional development, drive Europe’s economic performance and Ireland’s role within it, as well as focusing on innovation and change within an economic and business setting.

Some 200 delegates are expected at the one day event which will bring together business leaders, financiers, economists and small/medium business owners to the state of the art conference venue Thomond Park, Limerick City.

The event marks the final signatory event of Limerick Chamber’s 200th Anniversary celebration programme which commenced in January 2015.
