Course Outline:
This Manual Handling Instructor training is designed to provide the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to effectively design and deliver manual handling instruction in the workplace. The course is aimed at people who wish to become qualified Manual Handling instructors
Course Content:
Day 1: Legislation Requirements, Health Benefits and Introduction to Risk Management.
Day 2: Anatomy, Back Care, Manual Handling Principles and Technique.
Day 3: Ergonomic Principles and Risk Assessment
Day 4: Planning and Design of Manual Handling Training Programmes
Day 5: Assessment in Presentation, Theory & Practice
Course Requirements:
Participants must be physically able to participate in practical element of the course. The practical element of the course includes lifting, pushing and pulling items as per a standard manual handling training course.
Learning Outcome:
Participants on successful completion of this course will receive a QQI Level 6 qualification in Manual Handling Instruction.
