Shortlist Announced for Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards

 

28th October 2015: The Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards 2015, sponsored by LIT, will be hotly contested by 26 companies across 8 categories, with a new Category this year called the Best Community Award.  The winners of the categories, as well as the 2015 Overall Business of the Year and the President’s Award, will be announced at the Limerick Chamber President’s Dinner, on Friday 13th November in the Limerick Strand Hotel.

The awards aim to give businesses a platform to showcase their accomplishments and highlight the business achievements, innovation and excellence in the region.

 

Announcing the shortlist, Dr. James Ring, Limerick Chamber CEO, said, “Across 8 categories many leading and upcoming companies from the region have shown that they are at the forefront in supporting their customers through innovation, expansion  or service performance that has led to a significant increase in business.  I am delighted with the number of entries for our Bicentennial year.  Congratulations to all who have participated and best of luck to those short-listed.”

The Awards are judged by a panel of industry experts drawn from the senior management teams of sponsors; Eoghan Sadlier, Head of Business Dept., LIT, Catherine Duffy, General Manager, Northern Trust, John Hartery, Director Of Operations, BDO, Mike Cantwell, Head of Innovate Limerick Ltd., George Kennedy, Senior Associate, Holmes O’Malley Sexton and Kieran Martin, Senior Business Manager, Bank of Ireland.  Secretariat was provided by LIT.

 

About the Awards
Now in its fifth year, the annual Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards celebrate excellence in business across 8 categories.  Grassland Agro, Samco Agricultural Manufacturing Ltd, Northern Trust and Cook Medical are past winners of the Overall Business of the Year Award.

Previous winners of the President’s Award include Des O’Malley, Rose Hynes, Paddy O’Sullivan and Denis Brosnan.
The Limerick Chamber President’s Dinner will be held in the Limerick Strand Hotel on the evening of Friday 13th November.  The event is the most prestigious business event in the region. Over 440 guests will attend the black tie gala event again this year.
