Sustainable Freight Partnership Round Table Discussion

Sustainable Freight Partnership Round Table Discussion

The Sustainable Freight Partnership Mid-West provides an opportunity for representatives from across the freight and logistics sector to come together, collaborate, share best practices and lessons learned, lobby for investment and policy change to support, nurture and give greater emphasis to the strong infrastructural capacities of this region, and the high value and high volume export and logistics base.

Mid-West businesses of all shapes and sizes must work together to create more sustainable choices for their business, their clients, and the environment.

This new Partnership will meet each quarter, with round tables discussions, opportunities for working groups to be set up, greater access to information and data, training and education, and new networking connections to allow the sector to fully capitalise on future opportunities, and more sustainable supply chains.

The sector identified the need for partnership and collaboration through a series of consultative processes with Limerick City & County Council in 2014 and 2015.

This is a new initiative, the first of its kind in Ireland at a regional basis, spearheaded by Limerick Chamber with the support of Shannon and Ennis Chamber.
