TOP LIMERICK CHAMBER AWARD GOES TO ROADBRIDGE

Eleven companies awarded for special achievements at Regional Business Awards

 

President’s Award presented to Michael Noonan

 

 

17 November 2017: Roadbridge was hailed Overall Business of the Year at the 2017 Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards.  The awards, sponsored by LIT, were announced at the Limerick Chamber President’s Dinner at the Limerick Strand Hotel.

 

Over 400 of the region’s top business leaders and government officials attended the annual dinner and awards ceremony which featured a keynote address by Niall Gibbons, CEO Tourism Ireland.

Limerick Chamber CEO, James Ring, congratulated all the winners as well as those who were shortlisted, commenting that “The competition was extremely high this year, so every company that made the shortlist should be proud of its achievements.  This year’s winners are a great example of the vibrant growing business community and excellent talent in our region.”

 

Presenting the Overall 2017 Business of the Year award, Limerick Chamber President Ken Johnson, praised Roadbridge for its innovative approach and continuous investment in its staff and services and noted that “Roadbridge is a forward-looking company that has achieved significant growth through completing major projects in the transport, renewables and energy, utilities, commercial, industrial waste management and leisure sectors.

 

In addition to the 11 business awards contested on the evening, a special President’s award was presented by President Ken Johnson.

 

Michael Noonan was the recipient of the Limerick Chamber President’s Award. The President’s Award recognises the specific achievements and successes of an individual, company or organisation, public, private or semi-state, whose contribution to the city and the region in 2017 is reflective of an entrepreneurial spirit, drive and determination leading a sustainable employment contribution and positive economic impact to the regional economy and in the opinion of the President, is worthy of this special Award.

During his time as Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan played a key role in bringing job-creating foreign investment into Limerick region.
